For centuries it has been recognized that the harvest of the olive tree has special attributes that are beneficial to the health. The olives indeed contain vitamins A and E, metals and fibers. Also they are full of monosaturated fatty acids which are valuable to the cardiovasologic system.

Olives may be served as a side dish on their own or may be an ingredient to add taste to your meal.

Dry Martini

INGREDIENTS
250 g. Vodka
30 g. Dry vermouth
Ice Cubes
Stuffed Olives DIFFER

Place the ice cubes in a shaker. Add the vodka and the vermouth and shake well. Strain the mixture into martini glasses.
Place 2-3 green stuffed olives in a toothpick and insert into the cocktail.

Serves 4

Chicken with Olives

INGREDIENTS
4 chicken breasts
1 big onion, finely chopped
1 minced garlic clove
3 tomatoes, finely chopped
1/2 cup capers, drained
1/4 glass red wine
Black and Green Olive Slices DIFFER

Cook the chicken in medium heat for 4-5' per side in large pan.
For the sauce, simmer the onion and the garlic, add the tomatoes, the olives and the caper, salt and pepper according to taste.
Let it boil in low heat and finish by adding the wine.
Serve the chicken with the sauce and add fresh parsley for decoration.
May be served with rice or fried potatoes.

Salad with Orange & Olives

INGREDIENTS
1 green salad
3 tbs orange juice
8 slices of onion
6 oranges, peeled
Olive Oil - Balsamic Vinegar
Calamata Olives DIFFER

After you wash well the salad leafs, place them in a large bowl. For the sauce, mix the olive oil, the salt, the orange juice and the vinegar in a shaker and pour over the salad. Decorate with the onions, the orange slices and the olives.
Finally, serve with fresh pepper.

Spaghetti with Tuna & Olives

INGREDIENTS
1 pack spaghetti
3 cans tuna in water
Garlic-onion finely chopped
1 tomato can
Oregon
Kalamata Olive Slices DIFFER

Boil and drain the spaghetti according to the directions on their pack. For the sauce, shimmer the onions and the garlic, add the tomatoes, the oregon, the tuna and finally the olives. Let it boil for 15' and mix with spaghetti.
Serve with fresh parsley and fresh.
